ahmetAhmet Kilic, the founder of Urbane Architects, has a unique design talent and experience in variety of project types. He is the leading designer in single/multi-family residential, base building commercial projects.

Ahmet, is a Registered Architect in the District of Colombia, Virginia and Maryland with more than 16 years of experience in architectural and planning field. He is a member of American Institute of Architects,a Leed Accredited Professional and a member of Turkish Chamber of Architects.

Ahmet was graduated in 1998 from METU, top ranking architecture school, in Turkey with Bachelor of Architecture and Structural Engineering minor degrees. He also has completed Master of Architecture program at the same university in 2001.

After working on an institutional project in Ankara he has been recruited by an architectural design firm in United States. He has worked at Tortigallas and Partners and WDG Architects, two of the largest architecture and planning firms in Washington DC area. At these firms he has finessed his design and management skills working on large-scale projects in US and overseas.

His experience covers every aspect of mixed-use design; urban design to unit interiors; high rise towers to townhouse neighborhoods; big box retail to small coffee shops.

eceEce Kilis is a partner at Urbane architects since its inception. Using her in depth commercial and interior design experience she has been leading unique projects at various types, sizes and styles. She also has a key role in the operation of the firm.

Ece is a Registered Architect in the District of Columbia and LEED Accredited Professional with 16 years of experience in the architectural field. She has been a member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA since 2006.

After graduating from METU in Turkey in 1998, Ece worked for a custom interior contracting company in Ankara, MOB Inc. for 4 years. She was part of an interior design team responsible for hospitality projects in Europe and the Middle East. These projects included the Sheraton Hotel In Ankara, Conrad Hotel in Istanbul, Movenpick Hotel in Lausanne, Jaser Palace in Jerusalem.

In United States, she has worked for Group Goetz Architects for 8 years where she has specialized in class A commercial interiors for prominent public and private sector clients. Some of th projects that she led were the Securities Exchange Commission Headquarters in Washington DC, Montgomery College in Germantown, MD, Montgomery County Innovation Center in Germantown,MD, Industrial bank In Washington DC, Carfax Headquarters in Centerville, VA, Marriott Regional Offices in Rockville, MD, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation Headquarters in Washington, DC.
